Finding freedom in Bali

I stand here, appreciating lush landscapes as I gracefully brush my fingertips against the grains of rice fields and watch in wonder as the sun begins to set beyond the horizon.

I can remember seeing her for the first time. Friends and fellow travellers showed me pictures I’ll never forget. Stunning with a mysterious energy about her. Colourful. Vibrant; beaming with light even on her gloomy days. I had to know her and felt it was only a matter of time.

I could never have known the spiritual awakening which awaited me.   

You know, I’ve travelled a lot in my life. I used to be a so-called vacationer until my travels became more extensive, less planned and more rugged. With each and every trip that passed, I began to explore more of the unknown in search of a true human experience. I connected with strangers and listened to their stories. I saw life through a different lens than I once had living back in Canada.

I’ve moved on from my vacationing days and now I can say that travel is a part of me, a part of my soul.

A Wanderess. That’s what I’ve become. A woman who wanders the earth, finding meaning, purpose and joy in each and every experience.

I’ve hit the pause button. My heart, my mind, my body, my soul, they’re all on pause in this moment as I sink into the reality of this moment. I’m here now; I finally got to meet her! BALI! How beautiful you are, I just had to know you.

I am free here in Bali. Free to explore all that you have to offer. Sinking into your bean bags chairs, I feel lit with inspiration. I am creative, productive and in alignment. You present me with a space to converse with wise souls; they’re teaching me about honour and gratitude. I swim, snorkel and surf in your beautiful turquoise ocean, feeling the strength in your current. I stand here, appreciating lush landscapes as I gracefully brush my fingertips against the grains of rice fields and watch in wonder as the sun begins to set beyond the horizon.

As I lift my hands from my sides into the sky and stretch wide and far, I can feel everything that you represent. In your simplicity, you’ve brought peace to my life. It’s only the beginning as I am truly present for the first time in my life.

I feel more alive than ever. Overwhelmed with so much bliss that my world literally had to stop in order to fully appreciate what you’ve done to my soul in this moment.

I knew I had to share you with the world and so I made the decision right then and there to make it happen. That’s when Awaken Your Tribe was born. There is still so much to come, so many more adventures to be had and this will all be possible on our upcoming R.A.W.W. Experiences designed by women for women! I can’t wait to introduce you to women from all over the globe who are ready to wander with passion and fully embrace their unique experiences in Bali. I know this because I did.
