Happy International Women's Day and Happy Birthday Travelher!

I can't believe that it's been 12 months ago today that we've launched Travelher on this special and meaningful day, celebrating women empowerment all around the world. So much has happened this past year, for us, for me, for the world.

2016 was a roller-coaster of a year but I feel like we've all come out stronger on the other side - or are at least fighting to do so.

International Women's Day means different things to all of us, depending on where we live, where we are at with our personal lives, what ideals we share and what dreams we have. But the one thing that unites us all is the desire to make a positive change - for ourselves just as much as for every single woman in this world. This year's IWD theme supports exactly that - #BeBoldForChange.

Travelher to me means everything because it creates a community of like-minded women that support and encourage each other to chase their dreams and turn them into reality. It provides a safe environment to openly share your thoughts and feelings without having to be afraid of judgment or criticism. It encourages women from all walks of life to take charge of their lives, help each other overcome obstacles and live their lives to the fullest.

I've always believed that "if you can dream it you can do it". Travelher not only helps to hold myself accountable to do exactly that but it also enables me to support every woman out there, who wants to join us in the pursuit of seeing all that is out there and living a fulfilling and positive life. To me this is the ultimate goal and being able to support others in doing the same is what gets me excited about life, what gets me out of bed in the mornings and what makes me feel ecstatic about all the opportunities we have and the journeys that lie ahead.

Life isn't always easy and this world has changed a lot within the past 12 months and will continue to do so. But if we have each other's backs, as women, and as a community, if we are #BoldForChange and fight for our rights and dreams together, we might lose a few battles but we can’t possibly lose the war.
